Chris Says... We licenced this amazing latin drum track which was caned by the likes of Giles Peterson and Masters At Work, and we gave it the tribal techno reworkings from some big hitters. The Official Press Says.. Its all go at FLUX TOWERS at the minute-Chris Finke has just announced 2 new residencies at the world famous Atomic Jam in the UK and the infamous Decadance in Belgium, plus both Andi and Chris have been working hard on the label, especially this very exciting project. After a storming 1st release from Gary Martin, FLUX RECORDINGS continue their worldwide assault by resurrecting the classic "Bateria-Latin Impressions". A permanent fixture in Chris's DJ sets for a long time, they licenced the track from Victor and signed up the big boys for remixes. The original mix needs little introduction. The quintessential Latin percussion track was played by everybody from Gilles Peterson and Masters at Work to Derrick May on its original limited release, and its still sounds as fresh today as it did then. Mark "King of the Snakes" Broom's remix is without a doubt one of the most powerful techno tracks you will hear this year. With the combination of the punishing but incredibly funky beats and the huge dark riff, this has been killing dance floors all over on limited pre-pressings. Deetron has been on fire recently (not literally!), and his interpretation has stayed true to the original whilst adding vocal chants and some crazy filters, giving it that extra bit of Swiss magic.
